A White Christmas For Nala Designs
It was the December of 2018 and Christmas was coming around. During an ongoing internship at Nala Designs, I worked under the direction of Creative Director Lisette Scheers contributing to an installation and zero waste collection. Patterns from Nala Design's "Over The Moon" collection, painted on of over 30 wooden animals to create a larger than life mobile for Christmas of 2018 in Bangsar Village, Kuala Lumpur. Stretching from the ceiling of the mall to the ground floor, it featured robins, reindeers, owls and sparrows and was titled "A White Christmas". In conjunction, I was tasked to organise the full production of Nala Design's first zero wate collection: "Beautiful by Nala". A kopitiam tea cup candle, a mooncake paperweight made from deadstock marble and handmade soap bars from local artisans made up the collection. This production project consisted of sourcing the suppliers, structuring the production plan, silkscreening packaging and overall presentation in a span of two weeks.
